Frequently Asked Questions
What is Powder Brows?
-A type of semi-permanent makeup, AKA cosmetic tattoo, created with a PMU machine by implanting multiple tiny dots of pigment into the upper layer of the dermis. The result resembles powder makeup on your brows.
The result is achieved in two sessions, 4-8 weeks apart.
How long do the results last?
- Depending on the person’s skin, aftercare, lifestyle, the results can last up to 3 years. Most clients prefer to have a fresh treatment at around 18 months.
Is the treatment painful?
Most clients report minimal discomfort during the procedure, and we can use numbing agents to ensure a more comfortable experience.
Can you accommodate individual preferences?
-Every face is unique and clients often have their own vision of the final result. While we follow some general rules of facial symmetry when mapping out and drawing the brows, aiming to create a pair of eyebrows that mirror each other, the size and shape can be customized to meet your requirements in several ways. Likewise, there are multiple pigment shades which can also be mixed to achieve the desired result.
What are the contraindications?
1. Under 18 years of age
2. Pregnant and/or breastfeeding
3. Viruses such as herpes etc.
4. Infections (viral or bacterial)

Is a patch test needed?
-Yes. To ensure client safety, a patch test of the pigment and numbing solution must be performed at least 48 hours before the first treatment. It doesn't need to be repeated ahead of the top up.
Is permanent makeup safe?
-We follow a strict hygiene before, during and after the treatment and use only highest quality materials. The pigments used bear the European quality "REACH" mark.
How long does the treatment take?
It takes up to 3.5 hours to complete a Powder Brows session.
During the session, I will clean the area, map, measure, draw the brows and check symmetry. I will create the shape based on your
preference and to suit your facial features. We will choose the best pigment shade for you. I will ensure you are 100% happy with
the shape before tattooing. I will do 3-4 passes on each brow with the PMU machine. After the first pass, I will apply some numbing
solution to the treatment area and repeat for the subsequent passes to eliminate any discomfort.
You will be lying down on a treatment bed during the drawing and tattooing, and we can take breaks if needed.

What is Hairstroke?
"Hairstroke" is a much sought-after technique, where a hyper-realistic look of natural hairstrokes is achieved by using a PMU machine. Hairstroke is often combined with Powder to achieve maximum colour saturation whilst maintaining the natural look.
